Summer of Birds

This last few weeks, I have had a wonderful time at bird activities and birding and I wanted to share a few highlights with you.

How the Birds Got Their Colours - I was lucky enough to watch this magical performance on Bondi Beach. I can’t quite put into words how beautiful and moving is was to watch. First Nations Storytelling with acrobatic choreography and transforming costumes - simply breathtaking!

The story comes from Currumbin Beach QLD and is about the local birds - many of them familiar to us down here too.

The performace is by Arc Circus in collaboration with Cluster Arts and came to Bondi this summer as part of the Sydney Festival.

Bronte Bird Walk - The recently updated Bronte Bird Walk Route takes in the Bronte Gully, Waverley Cemetery and Calga Reserve as well as a few local street reserves. This greater diversity of places means more birds to been seen. Our February walk was full of smiles.
